no issues. My mom travelled to mumbai from chicago via frankfurt on AI. everything went well.. no issues on wheel chair as they took care of her well in transit and dropped her at the gate.
She did report issues in mumbai when she landed as it took 30 mins for wheel chair person to arrive at the gate... same AI has pathetic service in india and they are OK in US.

Actions speak louder than words. If they are deeply concerned then they should be taking steps forward to make something happen.
I agree with you. They talk a lot ,but no action !! It is disappointing.
We have to do something to get the SKILL Bill on the table. What IV is doing to push this BILL ? any comments from Core Team ?

I am in a similar situation. My attorney says I could file.
Can i file for I-485 while my H1-B extension petition is pending?
Should i premium process my H1-B petition before i can be ready to file my I-485 in july?

Few things:
1. The inventory of Pending I485 is not reliable.
2. If they approve all pending EB2 it means they have to move the PD forward and as they move the PD, new applications will be filed. There are thousands of EB2 labor approved and they are waiting to file I-485
3. Even if there is any spillover to EB3, nobody knows how USCIS will give those spillover number, will they go to EB3-ROW first or they will go as per the PD of Individuals regardless of Country of Origin.

The Department of State (DOS) has issued a regulation that broadens the authority of consular officers to revoke a visa at any time subsequent to issuance of the visa, including when the individual is already in the U.S. Additionally, the regulation allows consular officers and designated officials within DOS to revoke a visa provisionally while considering a final visa revocation.
This rule is effective April 27, 2011. DOS did not issue the regulation through notice and comment rulemaking on the basis that it involves a foreign affairs function of the United States and, therefore, is exempt from those procedures.
Pursuant to section 221(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), DOS may determine that a visa should be revoked when information reveals that the applicant was originally, or has since become, ineligible or may be ineligible to possess a U.S. visa. In testimony before Congress in 2004, DOS stated that it had revoked 1,250 visas since September 11, 2001, based on information suggesting possible terrorist activities or links. Congress and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) have put pressure on DOS and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to improve their policies regarding visa revocations.
If DOS revokes an individual�s visa, the information will be uploaded into the Consular Lookout and Support System (CLASS) database and the foreign national may not use the visa for travel to the U.S. Though DOS will seek to notify the traveler, the revocation is effective irrespective of whether the foreign traveler knows about the revocation.

but if i wait until my PD is current, then i contact congressmen, by the time they act on it, pd may go out of current. So just looking to get it out of this loop before my pd is current, so that my file will be ready to process.

said that they more than sufficent plaintiffs...
Are you guys filling up PLAINTOFF form ? The problem is that AILA /AILF
is a blackbox ... You can see that they are exchanging emails but cant read the content of email... ONLY FOR MEMBERS :mad:

yes her AP is valid till end of this year. Would it be problem if i take her gc and give it to her outside us??
She can enter without any issue using AP. I was in similar situation when GC approved and mailed for my entire family when we were away from USA. All of us entered using AP without any issues.

Here is my story -
- I came here in 1998 on F1
- Transferred to H1-B in 2002
- Filed for Labor Cert in 2005 (EB3) in Nevada
- I-140 approved in 2008
- I-485 pending for more then 180 days as of 2008
- EAD valid through 7/10/2009
- Got laid of in Feb 2009
- I got a job as an associate, a consultancy firm on W2 basis on Nov 17th, 2009 in WA
I have not done anything (i.e.informing the USCIS about job change etc.). I have the following questions.
- what documentation is required to be submitted to the USCIS about the new job.
- What kind of documentation is required from the employer vs myself
- When/how soon has this documentation is to be submitted
- When do i need to apply for my renewal of my EAD card
- What documentation is required to be submitted for the EAD renewal from employer vs myself
- Is it advisable to employ the services of an attorney if we run into issues.
- I worked on similar job for very short stints in between, but it was for a few weeks, does it endanger my case in anyway.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Convert H1 into Premium. You need to get the results before Sept-20. So that you can apply for F2 visa.
Preferably yes, you should apply before the I-94 expires.
However, I am not sure if a new H1B or F2 application MUST be filed before the I-94 expiry date. If the I-94 is expired, it won't be an "extension of H1B status" or "change of status to F-2" but it will be a new visa. So, she can still get an approval, then go out of the country to get the new visa stamped.

2) Attach it to the letter stating that labor has been certified.

How long it take (in terms day) to receive actual RFE mail notice after LUD status update online about RFE?
No RFE so far. Like I said all I see is new LUDs and all the online messages on i-485 cases say "case received and pending" on all cases. All cases are at Nebraska.

I am fine with abandoning the current H1-B extension process. My question is if there will be any problems leaving the country on an expired I-94 even though I am still technically in status.
My concern is that I will have problems if I apply for a tourist visa or H1-B visa in the future.

Why should USCIS send two notices? To answer your question..NO..they will send you one date and location for FP! Also you have to do your FP every 15 months or so..if your case isnt approved by then!
