What if the case is where I want to take up a new full time position and convert my current full time position to part time.....I guess one way to do it would be to transfer H1 to the new employer...wait for an approval and then file for another concurrent H1 for the part time job with the old company..But the problem is I'd have to wait until new approval comes...and also convince both companies to shell out 2k plus in filing fees....does any one have a better alternative ? Actually i went ahead and contacted an attorney for L1A extension under premium processing, so that should be done soon.
That would take care of DLs as well, as i would get the extension decision by the expiration of DL(s).
Attorney advised to wait for EAD extension for my wife till L1/L2 gets done, as EAD is still valid for some time. And in my case its not being used so i am fine.

If you have a copy of filled-up I-131, look at question 5 in part 3 in the 2nd page. That will tell you where the AP document will be sent.

Since the lower background is dark, I think it works well. The blossom really stands out with a feeling of depth, just the right DoF. There are two points on the left (probably sepals from the next blossom?) that are a little distracting to me, but that's a nitpick.

I (and my spouse as dependent) applied for I-485, AP, and EAD on July 17, 07 and am yet to get the receipt notice. My (and my spouse's) H-1 expires on 12/31/07 and I plan to travel out of the US between November 8 and December 24.
In case, the I-485 receipt notice does not come before we leave, would we be considered as having abandoned the PR application? Any idea how long it might take for the receipt notice to come for people in my shoes?
I'm positive, you can very much travel!!

Not much happening in this shot. Seems like it needs a bike leaning against the wall, a bench, a red pot, something to give a focal point. Either that or a shaft of sunlight down the street. I'm bothered by the leaning wall on the right. Makes me feel like it's going to fall down on me. Two potential shots I see in the scene are the door and grillwork next to it, if you can get the right light on them, and the hanging plant. Tough to shoot narrow streets like this when there's strong sunlight above but the streets are all in shadow. Did you try other angles/perspectives when shooting this? If so, they might be worth looking at.
Played with the image a bit in Photoshop to see what I could get out of it. Not sure I did much but I'm no expert, particularly with curves. Maybe someone else can do better. A black-and-white version also might be good.
Keep shooting and posting.

so it took you almost 9 months and you still don't have the H1 renewal? wow... that's unbelievable. I just received an email from my lawyer's legal assistant and they have received the H1 approval notice. So I have no idea what the hell is going on!

Hi,
I had applied for my H1 extension in June 2008 and waited for some time and then upgraded it to premium processing in July. I did not get any result on my H1 extension but in the meantime my GC was approved in August. My question is will i be able to get my H1 processing fee back, at least the premium processing fee. I heard if your H1 processing doesn't get any result in certain time you will be entitled to get your money back.

Yes. UR Lawyer is correct. U have to just pay one single fee for 485 filing and u can file yearly extensions for EAD and AP Free till ur 485 is approved.

Once you have two pay stubs , you can change the company. You can change even with a single pay stub but with two you are much safer.

I agree Sailesh. However it would be interesting to know if anyone has got multiple EVLs or other RFEs. I am also wondering if once you reply to an RFE, do they pre-adjudicate the application.

At this time there is no certainity.At the rate in which dates are moving in EB2 India (1 month move in a year) your PD will be current after 10 years. You may not even consider coming here then.
More realistic is the situation when illegal will get amnesty and legals may be put ahead of line.
Also the window may be as little as 30 days like in July 2007 as long as anytime (say someone with PD 2003 in EB2 --any time in the future)

HI everyone,
While efiling for the renewal of my EAD i selected the wrong Service center..My EAD was first issued by USCIS NSC and i selected LINCOLN NE ...I thought that both are same, but i soon realised that i made a mistake and iam sending a cover letter with the supporting documents..
By going thru the prevoius posts I saw "mirchiseth" has committed the same type of mistake...and he updated that he got finger printing notices for him..
so guys please tell me if anyone had committed the error..what action did u take and how did it go
