Hi All ,
I am currently on L1B visa valid till Mar 09.
I can apply for renewal for the same in Sep 09 and wanted to check if there would be any issues as if i travel to india and return on the old petition in oct-nov 08 (in case the renewal is still pending).
Will my return on the old petition cancel my L1 renewal petetion ?
I am trying to get the L1 renewed as soon as possible so that i can file for EAD renewal for my spouse.
Any views would be greatly appreciated.

Many people might have lost job because of last year rally. Here I heard one of company in Chicago area fired all the illegal immigrants in last year immeditely after rally. So this kind of things may not be necessarily positive.
If Illiegals can protest and can have large rallies across the nation then whats the problem with the legals? Why can't we put our point forward through these kind of peaceful but strong measures.:confused:

Once you are on EAD, you cannot go go back to H1B. The reason is by working on EAD you showed an intent to immigrate and where as H1B is a non-immigrant visa

Hi
My H1 is due for extension this year end.
Valid period of H1 remaining is 1 1/2 year since extension
I understand that H1 extension has to go through the rigorous procedure nowadays.
It needs client letter stating that project will last for 1 year.
Getting such letter is not possible.
So having I140 approved makes thing easy for H1 extension? Or same process for h1 extension is followed

I had a 10 AM appointment a couple of weeks ago and I went there at 9:30 AM and the waiting room was almost full.....But by 11 AM, there were very few people left and no new people coming in..So I was wondering they dont schedule appointments after 11 AM...Maybe they have appointments afternoon...So 11 AM should be a good time to go in....I am sure there will be a lot of people in the morning hours....

Hello, I have a question I hope someone is able to answer :)
Suppose my priority dates gets current for a certain month and therefore I apply for adjustment of status (I-485) and a EAD card for my wife (I-765). If the next visa bulletin retrogresses my priority date and it is no longer current, does that also freeze the I-765 processing, or would my wife get the EAD even if my priority date is no longer current?

I will fell more comfortable if the experience letter mentions the last day as 5/17/2009. Otherwise I will simply mention it as April 2009. This way the continuous employment criteria will be met.

I had my Labor go through without any issues. I haven't yet applied for 140.
what would happen if I apply for F-1 visa to pursue my studies as full time student since F-1 is a non-immigrant visa and I have cleared my labor.
I know I can't proceed with 140 since its a petition for immigrant status and my F-1 will be rejected. My question is does labor certification also affects F-1 visa application?

My wife switched from h4 to f1 status. you can do the same and status studies, assuming you have valid status/visa right now. Later you can get visa stamped.
H visa is dual intent, and f is non-immigration. Since you already have h visa it will not be a trouble. This is from my experience and some of my friends.
